From the documentation:

The following resources are free during each calendar month, per subscription:

  • The first 180,000 vCPU-seconds
  • The first 360,000 GiB-seconds
  • The first 2 million HTTP requests

For a 0.25 core app with one replica this is a 27% discount.

If I have multiple container apps, do each of them get these free resources?

  • Azure Container Apps allocate their free resources per subscription rather than each container app. Refer this pricing - https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/details/container-apps/ – SiddheshDesai Aug 05 '23 at 07:06
  • The first 180,000 vCPU-seconds, 360,000 GiB-seconds, and 2 million requests each month are free. Beyond that, you pay for what you use on a per second basis based on the number of vCPU-s and GiB-s your applications are allocated. – SiddheshDesai Aug 05 '23 at 07:06
  • @SiddheshDesai isn't "subscription" ambiguous here? If I have the same paper delivered to my house twice, I have two subscriptions. – Erik van Velzen Aug 05 '23 at 08:00
  • Yes, If you have two different subscriptions, Example 1) Pay as you go and 2) Free Trial. The offer applies to both the subscriptions separately. Imagine dividing 180,000 vCPU-seconds within 3 containers. 60,000 vCPU-seconds per containers in a single subscription – SiddheshDesai Aug 05 '23 at 08:07
  • is the comment helpful, May I know if you need any more details? – SiddheshDesai Aug 06 '23 at 06:48
