I installed CodeLite for Windows, but it does not start for me, but appears in the status bar and immediately disappears.

How can this be fixed?

I tried to run CodeLite in my Windows and it disappers from my status bar.

How can be this fixed ?

  • Hi, try running it from the command line to hopefully get an error message we can use for troubleshooting. To do this open cmd or powershell, then navigate to the install path from the terminal (e.g. `cd "C:\Program Files\CodeLite"`), then run the executable, whatever it's called (like `codelite.exe`). Then copy the terminal output and embed it in your question. – Noah Wiggin Aug 04 '23 at 20:36
  • Also please include info about your machine (start menu -> about your pc) – Noah Wiggin Aug 04 '23 at 20:43
  • oh and make sure you didn't install 32bit codelite for your 64bit pc, or vice-versa – Noah Wiggin Aug 04 '23 at 20:50
  • codelite.exe launches a program in my Desktop - it shows a logo, then an icon appears in the status bar and then it disappears. Actually, I have Windows 11, but on the Internet I read about a bug in version 22H2 – Maksim Skopin Aug 05 '23 at 10:28

  • Thanks, I got through this. Rolling back to a Windows restore point and reinstalling on the stable edition of CodeLite did the trick – Maksim Skopin Aug 05 '23 at 11:56
