At the moment we have a WooCommerce site that sells physical products. Recently, we added a subscription product into this and set up a WP multisite, with BuddyBoss controlling the subscription content on a subdomain.
We are looking to restructure the entire setup, as the scope of the project is getting bigger to include various different user groups and content.
An independent developer advised us that 'marketing' pages, e.g. SEO-rich content promoting the products should be completely separate from the BuddyBoss installation. In principle, having marketing pages on 'domain.com', and once they have subscribed and gained access to the platform, they are directed to 'app.domain.com'.
Would this be best practice and would this lead to overall server / performance improvements?
If so, could the two communicate seamlessly? One prerequisite is that we would require discounted products for logged in users of BuddyBoss and various user tiers.
