As you know, GitHub Copilot was initially available for free, but it transitioned to a paid model with a waiting list for free access. I applied during that time and received free access to Copilot. Now, I need to install a new window on my laptop due to some issues. Will this installation cause me to lose my free access to Copilot? If so, is there a way to regain free access to Copilot?
I've come across information that GitHub Copilot is available for free on student accounts. However, a few of my friends who also have student accounts mentioned that Copilot doesn't always work properly on those accounts.
