my cluster_network has larger bandwidth than public_network but can only be used during osd replication. Is it possible to force rgw to use cluster_network to fetch data from osd?
Didn't find any clues in the ceph documentation

If you decide to split the networks (was it an actual requirement in your setup?) then yeah, the cluster_network requires a much higher bandwidth. Since RGW is a client from ceph perspective it has to use the public_network as all clients do. So the answer to your question would be "no". There are procedures to change the network design but that can be a challenging task depending on the availability requirements. Do you see your RGWs as the bottleneck, do you notice performance issues or is this question just for a better understanding of ceph? – eblock Jun 19 '23 at 12:52
