Unable to set up 2fa on github: Enabling two-factor authentication failed
I have an issue while enabling two-factor authentication on my GitHub account.
In the second step Download your recovery codes, an error occurred.I clicked "I have saved my recovery codes", the page displays "Enabling two-factor authentication failed" and it is a 500 server error.

I have ensured that:
- I have the latest version of the Google Authenticator app
- I am entering the codes correctly
- I am using the same phone number linked to my GitHub account
- My internet connection is stable
- I tried switching to different 2fa supporting software, including but not limited to
1Password Authygoogle AuthenticatorMicrosoft Authenticator
I once enabled 2FA (two-factor authentication) settings a few weeks ago, but later turned it off.I tried hundreds of times at different time periods, but none of them worked.
Please tell me what to do, I would be very grateful.
