CoovaChilli, as of 2015 and kernel 3.7 onward, suffers from a bandwidth management problem, which is well known.
The current solutions is to disable GRO via ethtool on the hotspot interface, and apparently works for most installation and I've successfully used it in the past, but it doesn't have any effect on the devices we're currently using, some EdgeRouter with mips processors and kernel 4.9.
Someone posted on issue #61 that this could be related to the processor being mips.
Does anyone had similar experiences? Any workaround or solution?
