ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR while launching app on localhost in Chrome

Question

I am trying to launch my app on localhost using Chrome browser, but I keep getting an "ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR". The app works fine on curl. Can anyone suggest any possible solutions for this issue?

About the application:

"Bookinfo" is a sample application used in the Istio documentation to demonstrate various Istio features such as traffic management, security, and observability. It is a polyglot application consisting of four microservices written in different programming languages: productpage (Python), details (Java), reviews (JavaScript, Python, and Ruby), and ratings (Python). The application is designed to simulate a book review website where users can see book information, leave reviews, and see reviews left by others.
