I am using Bi Publisher 12.2.1.4 .
I am trying to add checkboxes to a BI Publisher report . I am using a basic Portrait template when creating the report
From lots of resources on the web I found out that I should be able to either use "Rich Text" or "Formatted Text" objects , which provide the ability to add HTML on a report .i.e
<input type="checkbox" name="checkboxName" value="checkboxValue"> Checkbox Label
either through the properties pane , or a dialog box called "Rich Text Editor"
Although in the layout editor I can't find any option related to this kind of objects, but only the Plain Text option.

Am I missing something here ? Could it be the type of report I am using ? Could it be the BI publisher version ?
