Worksheet Id changes after reopening excel sheet in Office 2016 version

I have created an excel add-in using Office JS API and I am storing my worksheet's metadata with the worksheet id.

When I save my worksheet at that time my worksheet id is "{4BBBF664-CB10-44A3-9B15-B13CBACC4D9A}".

But when I reopen the Excel sheet again then my worksheet id is changed to "{00000000-0001-0000-0000-000000000000}".

It's working as expected on Office 365 and Office 2019.

This problem only happens in Excel 2016 standard version Build Version - (16.0.4266.1001) 64 bit

Please give more details on how you are obtaining the ID and how you are storing it. Also, you are using volume-licensed Office 2016 which doesn't support everything that retail Office 2016 supports, but without seeing your code it is not possible to see if you are using something that is not supported. – Rick Kirkham Mar 01 '23 at 19:33
