I have an application on production and SEO Team gave me a sitemap.xml file to add to the project, so I want to know if I added the sitemap.xml file manually to the root folder and published it on the server, there will be errors? and if there is, what is the right way to do that?
I tried a free host server and upload a test project on it, then add this file and published it to the server, and working fine, my question is this is the right way? and is the application will support the sitemap and benefit from it?
