I just started making my first react/firebase app and ran the command npx create-react-app test-app
. Once I cd into my folder I ran npm i --save firebase
. However, this created '10 high severity vulnerabilities'. I ran npm audit fix --force
as it suggested to me, but surprisingly that threw a lot of deprication warnings and gave more vulnerabilities.
npm WARN using --force Recommended protections disabled.
npm WARN audit Updating react-scripts to 4.0.3, which is a SemVer major change.

npm WARN deprecated core-js@2.6.12: core-js@<3.23.3 is no longer maintained and not recommended for usage due to the number of issues. Because of the V8 engine whims, feature detection in old core-js versions could cause a slowdown up to 100x even if nothing is polyfilled. Some versions have web compatibility issues. Please, upgrade your dependencies to the actual version of core-js.
I'm out of ideas how to fix this. I managed to find this earlier post. But after attempting those answers, I did not get any different result.
