So basically now you can pay from one android (with your emulated card) to other android (retailers POS) (reference). So now phones can works like POS and can also emulate your cards.

Knowing android has disabled P2P (so called android beam) communication between phones in latest versions - so how does this communication thing works.

Like this

So, here basically I simply want information on how the tap-on-phone technology works in general to make android-android communication possible.

WHY: I want to develop an application for NFC communication between two androids. But as it is disabled, so I cannot do that. So that's why I want to know how it works in tap-on-phone.

  • Thank you... I actually searched for it myself before posting here - I guess my search terms weren't obvious. Still doesn't the answer looked like a trick to you - Android Beam was much better. – umair mughal Dec 13 '22 at 10:47
