I am currently working on a plugin for the Note taking app obsidian. The plugin is an integration of the Google Calendar for the app.
At the moment, every user has to create an own Google cloud project to use the plugin. Setting the client ID and secret and API token inside the setting.
Is there a way to create a project everyone can use, while keeping the keys and tokens save inside the plain text plugin code?
The benefit would be a way easier installation. Are there any significant drawbacks?
I tried different OAUTH clients types: web and desktop I tried to obfuscate the secret, but this didn't felt secure at the end.
