I want to make a map with deck.gl (or alternatives, open for advice). It should be a terrain map with satellite images as textures and a colored hex grid overlay. Any hints on how to accomplish this? As I understand, it should be possible to combine the terrain layer with an h3 hex grid layer, but all the examples that I've seen use the hex layer in a different way than what I want. Here's an example that looks like I want, just that I also want hex clusters to be colored (semi-transparent): https://i.stack.imgur.com/OFXrv.jpg So, the hex grid should overlay the terrain and adapt to its height.
