i am looking for a method to convert geographic coordinates (latitude, longitude) to a cartesian reference system with x, y coordinates. Since I have to be able to locate the points on the geographic map using the x, y coordinates. It is obvious that the geographic map will have to be transformed into a rectangular map and no longer a sphere. if anyone has solutions, even alternatives, let me know.
