The problem arose when I installed Polylang, a famous plugin to make the site multilingual. In practice, every time I create the draft of the article in Italian and then publish it updated, the article translated into English loses the connection with the original one in Italian. In essence, by analyzing the page there is no longer the hreflang attribute, which is essential for making search engines understand that the same article exists in another language.
