I've recently changed laptops to a faster model, yet debugging takes substansially more time now. Both reaching the first breakpoint, and continuing (step over/step into etc.). I've tested them side by side, and where the older laptop will continue to the next line in a second, the newer will take around ten seconds.

I've copied over the settings.json files, the launch.json file, the extensions are the same, and I've also (re)installed the same VSCode version.

What can I do to identify the issue?

EDIT: Running on Fedora 34
