We have the following scenario:
Multiple people work on the same excel files via mapped network drives on different locations (branches) of the company all over the country.
Some of the excel files have a huge size, in fact so huge that it can take up to 15 minutes (or much more!) until the files have downloaded to the pc for working on them via the network drives.
Of the excel files some are linked between each other "functionally" (i believe it is macros and stuff, i did not build them!).
Now I wonder if there is a solution to get rid of the network drives and shift all the excel files to the cloud, so that the download speed goes massively up, but without killing the functionality of the excel files or causing so much extra work that it is worth waiting for many minutes until the files have downloaded.
(honestly written... network drives are so much last century... there must be a much better microsoft cloud solution no?).
Sharepoint... OneDriveBusiness... all O365 licenses are present, just the solution for speeding up the workflow... any ideas by excel and O365 professionals? O:-)
