Setup:
ubuntu server with smb share (works fine in local network)
set domain name using no-ip dns to myserversomething.ddns.com
port forwarding on router
port selection based on this

port 9898 -> 445
What I want to do:
connect to smb server from outside network with ipad
What I did:
On Ipad with FE File Explorer added server as
IP: myserversomething.ddns.com
Protocol: SMB
Port:9898(this port work fine with other program and and chosen for this reason)
What I got:
Failed Port connection
What I did to trobleshoot:
tried ipad's default file manager as following
in Server slot
smb://myserversomething.ddns.com
in password slot
correct credential
What I got:
There was a problem connecting to the server Check the server name or IP address, and then try again. if you continue to have problems, ......
