I've tried reinstall and reconf serveral times, but it still doesn't work.

  • This seems to be a fresh installation, I would recommend to get familiar with [cephadm](https://docs.ceph.com/en/latest/cephadm/) because ceph-deploy is deprecated for a while and has not been maintained for quite some time. You'll probably run into more issues along the way. cephadm is the default now. – eblock Feb 02 '22 at 10:26

This is a very common error and it happens when some parameters are missing or wrong in the /etc/ceph/ceph.conf file. Looking at your ceph.conf file, it seems your error is due to following three parameters:

  • mon_initial_members =.....
  • mon_host =.....
  • public_network=.....

For network configurations and particularly public network configuration check following three options:

Also make sure that the hostname on the server is the same in the ceph.conf file.

Apart from it, it can also be related to firewall like this.
