gem install jekyll: make failed, exit code 2 on macos

Question

I was working perfectly fine with jekyll, until I updated my mac to MAC-OS-BIG-SUR.

When I run this command sudo gem install -n /usr/local/bin/ jekyll It returns the following error:

I'd advise against using your system install of Ruby, which is probably causing these issues. I use [rbenv](https://github.com/rbenv/rbenv#installation) to manage Ruby installs, then you can add bundler or jekyll using that with much less permission and version hassle. — Ross, Apr 28 '21 at 00:13
