I am looking for an affordable and reliable VPS solution serving Windows Server 2008.
Use case is to run a Continuous Integration build Server for an asp.net mvc site project.

Any suggestions?

I'm investigating VPS solutions right now and compiled a list along with pricing. For Server 2008 I would not recommend anything below 1 GB of RAM. Please note that some items below indicate Server 2003 but also have the 2008 option available.

  • @smartins i'm researching these options now too. which did you go with in the end and any findings? – dove Jul 28 '09 at 16:05
  • For what it's worth, I've had a Server 2008 VPS from KickAss VPS for about 3 months now and I am spending today looking for other options. They don't let you install your own OS updates, IIS is SUPER flaky, and Virtuozzo goes down fairly regularly. My VPS hangs consistently and I have to forcibly reboot it. – Kyle Noland Apr 18 '10 at 20:13
  • @Kyel Noland what was the final verdict? which one did you go for in the end? – user961627 Nov 24 '12 at 11:17
  • and the same question to @smartins. – user961627 Nov 24 '12 at 11:18
  • Just to add to the list: [contabo](http://contabo.com/) for 15 euros/month you get windows 2012 VPS with 3.2 Ghz core, 4Gb rams, 200 Gb disk, 100 Mbit/sec channel and unlimited traffic. I'm a happy customer. – ren Apr 24 '13 at 14:51

  1. The most affordable in the realm of Hyper-V (more robust solution than Virtuozzo): WebSpaceDepot
  2. Also very affordable VPS based on Parallels Virtuozzo technology with respected provider: KickAss VPS
