I have been following this tutorial - https://www.instructables.com/Thermal-Camera-AMG833-Raspberry-Pi/

It's working well, as shown. I can see graphical temperature reference in window.

But how can I print the highest measured temperature to the console, so I can work with that value later on?

To get the max at each frame, just add print(max(pixels)) immediately after pixels = sensor.readPixels() .

This should be quick enough to not cause any significant slowness to the rest of of the script.
