How to track flash banner clicks with clickTAG and Google Analytics

I have some flash banners that I can't edit. They are configured to use clickTAG. All tracking on my website is performed by Google Analytics. I searched the web for more than hour now and couldn't find any solution on how to track outbound clicks in banners when I can't hardcode it into the .swf.

Is this even possible?

I can think of one solution: insert url to my own redirect page in clickTAG and track this page views... But I hope there is a better solution.

overlay a 1 pixel image and stretch it to the banner size. Then add on click events to call a javascript function that will handle your google stuff. – The_asMan Jun 16 '11 at 16:49

basically make an image 1X1 pixels fill it with a color then turn the transparency down to .01 this image will absorb the click events – The_asMan Jun 17 '11 at 16:19
