Error running Kubernetes dashboard locally

Question

I am on a Mac and trying to run Kubernetes dashboard locally. I have done this before, but now getting error. Following the instructions and was doing -

kubectl apply -f https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kubernetes/dashboard/v2.0.0/aio/deploy/recommended.yaml

And getting error -

Error from server (NotFound): the server could not find the requested resource

Kubectl client seems too old version(v1.9.4) which can't speak to newer Kubernetes clusters(v1.16.6). Install latest version of kubectl client on your Mac system following the guide here
