Can anyone please explain why is this android layout not working and crashes the activity as soon as the activity is launched

Question

This code is not working and the app is crashed all the time. Whenever I run the code, it shows an error. Even after can anyone please help me to remove this error. This error is also occuring whenever I am using TextInputLayout in my app.

Please add card view dependency

implementation 'androidx.cardview:cardview:1.0.0'

and use

app:background="@android:color/secondary_text_light_nodisable"

or

app:cardBackgroundColor="@android:color/secondary_text_light_nodisable"
