Add Recycler grid-card view in BasicActivity?

Question

I wants to add RecyclerView in BasicActivity. I mean I choosed BasicActiivty among EmptyActivity and other designed by android. But, RecyclerView is not shown in correct place.

I tried to add this recycler view, sometimes it overlap appbar, sometimes the text are shown at the right sides of images please help me.
