For a connected bufferevent(bev),

  1. client call shutdown(fd, SHUT_WR);
  2. server receive BEV_EVENT_EOF
  3. if evbuffer_get_length(bufferevent_get_output(bev)) > 0, then call bufferevent_free(bev)

What will do ? send all data and free or just give up data and free?

I will appreciate it if o help me.

libevent will give up data.

test as the blow:

  1. send 10 M or 100 M data
  2. call shutdown(fd, SHUT_WR);
  3. read data until EOF

result:

send 10M 
send: 10485760
read: 10485760

send 100M
send: 104857600
read: 29593600

so server will give up data
