Trying to install Jekyll but keep getting this error message:

I have installed the following but perhaps not in this order

  • make
  • build-essential
  • ruby
  • ruby-dev
  • gcc

Any ideas?

Solved!

had to run the command:

sudo apt-get install autoconf libtool
