You can use this script.

DECLARE @fileNames TABLE (filesize nvarchar(max))
INSERT @fileNames
EXEC xp_cmdshell 'for %I in (q:\folder\exemple.txt) do @echo %~zI';
select * from @fileNames

  • Is your file path correct or have you access right to file from SQL server? – Serkan Arslan Nov 08 '17 at 07:11
  • Not access right to file from SQL server, but i want get size local file on my PC by client in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio, it's possible ? – J. Doe Nov 08 '17 at 07:15
  • Sorry but, it is not possible. Scripts run only on the server side. You can not access your client files. But, if you share your folder and server can access to your shared folder. With using the script with shared path, it can be possible – Serkan Arslan Nov 08 '17 at 07:21
  • Thank you. The question can be closed. – J. Doe Nov 08 '17 at 07:26

I don't know if the following solution is acceptable to you, because it uses VBA/Excel, and not SQL, or whatever you are playing with, but you can consider it anyway.

Public fPath As String
Public IsSubFolder As Boolean
Public iRow As Long
Public FSO As Scripting.FileSystemObject
Public SourceFolder As Scripting.folder, SubFolder As Scripting.folder
Public FileItem As Scripting.File
Public IsFileTypeExists As Boolean

Public Sub ListFilesInFolder(SourceFolder As Scripting.folder, IncludeSubfolders As Boolean)

    On Error Resume Next
    For Each FileItem In SourceFolder.Files

' display file properties
        Cells(iRow, 2).Formula = iRow - 13
        Cells(iRow, 3).Formula = FileItem.Name
        Cells(iRow, 4).Formula = FileItem.Path
        Cells(iRow, 5).Formula = Int(FileItem.Size / 1024)
