What is "all" information? – syntagma Aug 29 '17 at 19:28
  • Sorry about this. and thank you for your information. – darvin Aug 31 '17 at 12:09
  • Stack Overflow is a site for programming and development questions. This question appears to be off-topic because it is not about programming or development. See [What topics can I ask about here](http://stackoverflow.com/help/on-topic) in the Help Center. Perhaps [Super User](http://superuser.com/) or [Unix & Linux Stack Exchange](http://unix.stackexchange.com/) would be a better place to ask. – jww Mar 24 '18 at 07:54

Your whois client probably is not up to date. .com has recently transitioned to a thick whois model (like other extensions) and many whois clients were broken after that change. The format of the whois record has also changed and thus may require adjustment in parsing.

  • That is not true. As of today .COM and .NET are still not thick TLDs. What you have seen and the link you quote is related to the fact the ICANN mandated some change in the registry whois output that impacted the field where there the registrar whois server name was displayed which made whois clients that relied on that not finding anymore where to connect to. As for getting thick, this will happen in 2018/2019, see: https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/thick-whois-transition-policy-2017-02-01-en – Patrick Mevzek Jan 02 '18 at 16:00

Use the Registrar WHOIS Server from the result of whois google.com for the host to connect to for the query:

whois --host whois.markmonitor.com google.com
