How can I build KDE Dolphin from its source code?

Question

I'm using Ubuntu 15.04 x64.

I cloned the Dolphin repository from git://anongit.kde.org/dolphin. I then proceeded to build the directory by:

mkdir build
cd build
cmake ..

But when I run the CMake command I get:

It looks like I'm missing the KDE Framework Libs. But I can't seem to find a way to install them on my computer. How should I go about building Dolphin from its source code for development purposes?

For anyone else looking to fix the CMake errors of the following type:

Could not find a package configuration file provided by "KF5DocTools"
Could not find a package configuration file provided by "KF5Init"
Could not find a package configuration file provided by "KF5KCMUtils"
...

These and similar errors containing "KF5…" indicate that CMake cannot find packages with the KDE5 header files. On Ubuntu, you can install them with:

sudo apt install libkf5*-dev kirigami2-dev

Use kdesrc-build to build Dolphin and its dependencies: https://community.kde.org/Frameworks/Building

Set that up, and run kdesrc-build --include-dependencies dolphin

Unfortunately for Ubuntu 15.04 the KDE Frameworks libs are not yet available (only via PPA).

I don't know when it has changed but now we have to use the `--include-dependencies` flag instead [https://kdesrc-build.kde.org/documentation/kdesrc-build.1.html]. – j4x Jun 16 '17 at 16:33
