Cakephp Form is not getting submiited but giving Notice (8): Array to string Coversion, many other Warnings (2)

Question

I am having trouble submitting/saving data to the CakePHP Model. I constructed the form as usual as I always do, but this time I am getting notices and warning an also data is not getting saved. Here is the form I have constructed and method in Controller:

Here is the screenshot enter image description here of errors I am getting, Not able to figure out what is happening while other forms are working correctly. looks like something something wrong with view?

Hey! I solved the problem basically that error was coming, because of `Session->setFlash()` method. This error is coming out because you are not passing the proper arguments to the session->setFlash() method, you are doing like this:

   $this->Session->setFlash('You personal details has not been updated successfully, please try again later!!', array(
        'class' => 'failure'
    ));

In docs it is mentioned like:

   $this->Session->setFlash('You personal details has not been updated successfully, please try again later!!', 
       'default', array(
           'class' => 'failure'
    ));

Hi so if i understand :

Is your data , and you just need to save this in your candidates_educations table , so in this case i would do :

$this->Candidate->CandidatesEducation->save($this->request->data);

and your $data had to look :

            'course' => 'Masters of Computer Application',

the saveAssociated is used when you create your Model AND Model associated , not only your Associated model.

And : i m not sure for year_started and year completed rm of data, it depends of your table schema ; what's the type of year_completed and year_started ?

oh.. year_started/completed are showing as array, may be that's the reason its getting array as a string that's why it is failing to save data.. you cracked it man!, and root index is zero cause I am allowing user to add new fields for new record in the same form to save multiple records at once.. I Changed the data array structure but still the same warnings and notices coming out but for now the data is being saved... Now I have another form which is base models form there was also the same problem I modified that field array into the acceptable string format but here also warnings/notices coming and also data is not getting saved. – Iglance3 Nov 28 '14 at 07:36
