I have setup 2 worklight liberty servers ('worklight' and 'customer') - I have changed the port from 9080 to 9081 in server.xml for the customer server and installed runtimes in both environments.

Each server has unique schema when created as well as unique context paths

My issue is that I can see both my runtimes working in the worklight server console, but I get 'No runtime can be found.' error message when I access the customer console

What else needs to be configured in order for this to work?

  • Using Worklight 6.2 (fixpack 3) Liberty Server
  • Windows Server
  • Server configuration tool used to create everything

  • Please add the server log when you see the issue as well as the liberty version you are running (8.5.5.2/3?) – Idan Adar Nov 25 '14 at 17:01

There is the following exception : sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

meaning that there is a SSL configuration issue with the certificate.

  • I'm not using SSL, and have installed no certificates, not sure why this error would be appearing? (using port 9080 for server#1 and 9081 for server#2) – falter Nov 26 '14 at 08:53
  • I changed the SSL port on server#2 from 9443 to 443 and that seems to have resolved the issue. I guess server#1 was using 9443 already by default. Does this mean two servers can't share the same SSL port? what about using port 80? I'd like to use port 80 for both servers (with different context paths of course) – falter Nov 26 '14 at 09:05
  • 2 Liberty servers cannot share the same http and https ports if there are on the same system. Right the default https port number is 9443. If you want to use a reverse proxy like IHS that listens on port 80 it is OK since all requests will go thru the proxy and redirected to the Liberty servers. If you don't want to use a proxy and so have both Liberty servers use the port 80 it cannot work. – Bruno Charpentier Nov 26 '14 at 09:13

Might be a duplicate of the following question: No MBean found for worklight project
There, the problem was incorrect setup in the server.xml; you can follow the instructions to verify you are not experiencing the same issue.

With the logs (requested in the comments section), it is hard to pin-point the issue, so here are more questions dealing with the same error:

You can also read the following support document: http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSZH4A_6.2.0/com.ibm.worklight.installconfig.doc/install_config/t_verifying_wl_admin_install.html

  • log files now added. There is only a single admin service deployed in the server.xml file (a different one for each server.xml) – falter Nov 26 '14 at 08:18
