 Hello everybody,

Earlier I was getting an issue while running the c++ binaries in hadoop

 syscon@syscon-OptiPlex-3020:~/uday/hadoop-1.2.1$ bin/hadoop pipes -D hadoop.pipes.java.recordreader=true -D hadoop.pipes.java.recordwriter=true -input /dft1 -output dft1 -program /bin/wordcount

              http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?p=5221898#post5221898

*Till the 4th step ,it was clear

When i was proceeding with the fifth step,it was throwing error like this

I don't think there is anything wrong with your configure file if you have changed its permissions to executable by running: $sudo chmod +x configure One thing that might be missing is this. Set the LIBS variable to -lycrpto by either doing these: $export LIBS=-lcrypto #This is temporary or by editing your .bashrc file. Follow these steps: $cd $sudo nano .bashrc add "$export LIBS=-lcrypto" as the last line Close and Save the file. then run: $source or reboot your computer. Run your configure file again and see it work. Voila!
