I'm trying to understand Fixed Tabs navigation in android, here's the default code for Fixed Tabs + Swipe navigation in when you add a new blank activity:

The default code also comes with dummy fragment file which I think does not need to be included in this question.

Here is the screenshot of the activity with custom theme declared in the manifest:

From what I understand (from the xml file), area in the blue mark is ViewPager while GreenMark is defined as PagerTabStrip based on this thread.

Seeing from the default java code, I cannot seem to locate this PagerTabStrip and therefore I cannot change its color. Any help would be so wonderful. Thanks in advance.

  • pardon me but ActionBar is the one with orange color in my screenshot if I'm not mistaken, I can simply change its color in style.xml – Hendra Anggrian Mar 27 '14 at 05:34
  • You can also change the complete theme including tabs and popup color. It saves a lot of time and effort. Give it a try buddy. Hope this is what you are looking for :) – Ankit Popli Mar 27 '14 at 05:38
