I grew up in an industrial suburb of Chicago during the 70s where vinyl records, CB radios, M-80's, 69 GTO's, and Led Zeppelin were part of our daily lives. I'm a Sox fan (Cubs? No way...). I still build my bikes out of discarded dumpster parts, and still hold the neighborhood record for the longest wheelie - 3 blocks up-hill! I ride my bikes in t-shirts, jeans and flip-flops just to spite the yuppies in their carbon-fibre bikes and spandex - keeping it real and showing them "who's who". Hustled numerous jobs since age 12 to pay my own way on dates, and eventually through college. I've worked in dimly-lit lounges for unsavory people, worked as an airline ramp supervisor, carpet cleaner, perfume mixer (at Jovan Cosmetics), and timber feller, long before I entered the corporate world. I always gave half of my paycheck to my Mom, and I prefer cash over debit cards. I think that sums it up.
