I write code for business and fun. My job is writing and maintaining business applications for major Italian industrial (automotive) and financial (insurance) companies; but I also worked for the food industry, and I wrote a small application for the Italian Navy too.

I usually work in the Windows environment, using .Net framework, C# language and SQL Server, or Oracle, according to customer needs/wills.

I am also interested in system administration, network management and virtualizazion (VMware).

As a volunteer, I operate and maintain the web site and facebook page of the Museo Ferroviario Piemontese (Piedmont Railways Museum). In addition, I set up the Museum Library cataloging system, based on the Koha cataloging system, running under Linux. To do this job, I had to build up from scratch the full Museum LAN, which was not present.

In the Museum, I also operate and mainain the big, digitally controlled railway layouts. And in the spare time, I also guide visitors along the tour route.

I love cats, skiing, and listen to classical music.
