Currently work on "next-generation television". Prior work includes voice and multimodal user interfaces (I co-edited the W3C VoiceXML 2.0 Recommendation and wrote a VoiceXML web browser that handles over 500m calls/year).

I've also developed database system software, graphical design tools, domain-specific languages, and software for finding and correcting Y2K bugs.
