I need to setup a 404 error handling in my .htaccess, besides handling some 301 redirects for the links of an old website. The new site is made with Joomla, the old site was written in asp. Sef urls and url rewrite are enabled in joomla.
I need to:
- redirect 301 from /old/path/on/old/site/old-page.asp?parameter1=value1¶meter2=value2 to /index.php?option=com_mycomponent&view=myview¶meter1=value1¶meter2=value2
- redirect all other not found documents to /index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=123&Itemid=456
This almost works, but I have a problem:
- The ErrorDocument directive sends a 302 and not a 404. If I remove http://www.mywebsite.com from the ErrorDocument, it causes an Error 500 in Joomla because when a page.asp is requested it finds a .asp extension in the query string and tries to serve a view.asp.php which does not exist (and I wouldn't like to create it just for handling the problem).
