I tried to setup the mail warnings on an IDrac8, it's not my first time, that's why I am wondering what I am doing wrong.
on this server it won't send mails with following error
"RAC0225 sending of the test mail failed"
Network settings for idrac are setup properly. Connected via an exclusive lan port to our network, gateway and DNS is accessible via this port.
SMTP settings for idrac are setup properly, checked 100 times, also checked with an other servers idraq SMTP setting, they are the same.
I tried different SMTP passwords even without any symbols, only letters, same beheaviour.
What else I can do to further investigate, would a firmware reflash helpful, is there any diagnose/errorlog for more details why it fails to send with the settings provided, I even don't see at which step the test mail apports, I'm clueless now
