Yes, I know that its an old and deprecated and unsecure and whatever protocol. I still have to connect to it because its a third party server that I am trying to connect to. I managed to connect an instance of centos7 on aws to the server using instructions on here: https://zlthinker.github.io/Setup-VPN-on-CentOS
But I have been unable to do the same on google cloud machine I can follow all the steps without errors but then it doesnt really connect to the vpn server (doesnt show ip on ifconfig) meaning that connection failed. What I want to understand is that is this due to some firewall setting that I can change to make it work or is this just doomed to not work?
