I have a WattBox UPS 1100VA (WB-OVRC-UPS-1100-1) that can, seemingly randomly, rapidly alternate between line power and battery. When it flips to battery it will give a reading on the LCD around 25V. Usually it lasts on line or battery only a second and can toggle back and forth for a couple of hours.
When the WattBox is directly plugged in I do not encounter any issues. I have tried the following:
- Ran a dedicated 20A electrical circuit back to the panel
- Replaced the UPS twice
- Had my utility company monitor the electricity coming into my house, no issues here over the course of a month or so
Any insight as to what the root cause could be? It certainly seems to be a waveform issue.
