I have an Ubuntu 22.04 Server which is mailing me every 24 hours with the following; I'd had alerts for this host filtered and missed it until now:

This message was generated by the smartd daemon running on:

   host name: HOSTNAME
   DNS domain: [Empty]

The following warning/error was logged by the smartd daemon:

Device: /dev/nvme0, Critical Warning (0x02): Temperature

Device info:
Samsung SSD 980 1TB, S/N:S64ANG0R328969X, FW:1B4QFXO7, 1.00 TB

For details see host's SYSLOG.

You can also use the smartctl utility for further investigation.
The original message about this issue was sent at Sun Feb 27 10:30:15 2022 PST
Another message will be sent in 24 hours if the problem persists.

The temperature is fine and that alert is 7 months old. Smartctl reads fine. I don't see a way to remove this recurring alert. Can any one advise how to clear a recurring alert like that?
