For privacy and long-term support reasons, I am running my own self-hosted mail server from a large hosting company.
Unfortunately, using a shared hosting means that I am assigned an IPv4 address that has been blacklisted by an Email Reputation Service (ERS) for spam.
Obviously, while I can vouch for my domain, other people sharing the hosting might have done spamming.
My question is how to make sure I am not affected by the IPv4-based bans? Is it something I have to take to the ERS (we are in 2020 after all and shared hosting without dedicated IPv4 is now a norm)? Is it something I have to negotiate with my hosting provider?
