Retired septuagenarian, originally from Chicago, whose career entailed research, analysis, writing/reporting. But my abiding interest has always been nature in all its forms. (In a perfect world I would have been an ethnobotanist.) I’m an avid organic gardener with emphasis on pollinators and native plants. In my youth I regularly provided articles, classes/demos, nature hikes about foraging, plant identification, beekeeping, and environmentalism for venues that include the Nature Conservancy, BSA, Explorer Scouts, local county nature centers and Montessori schools.
