Questions tagged [native-conditions]

Conditions a plant would experience in its native habitat.

Many (probably most) garden plants are not grown in their natural location and habitat. Plants can be grown in different places, because they are either tolerant of a wider range of conditions, or similar conditions can be reproduced in a different place (e.g. planting peppers and tomatoes in Europe).

Use this tag for all questions about a plant's original native conditions. What does a plant expect? Can I reproduce it in my location?
