Fungi (singular: fungus) constitute a complete biological kingdom (ie. the same level of classification as "animals" and "plants"). Fungi are divided into Eumycota (true fungi), myxomycetes (slime molds), and oomycetes ( molds).

Mycology (the study of fungi) is often considered a branch of botany, although in reality fungi are more closely related to animals than plants.

Fungi are rarely visible as they feed on and dead matter. They often only become visible when they produce a fruiting body such as a mushroom or mold.

Many kinds of mushroom are , and a gardener can grow mushrooms for eating. Questions about growing mushrooms should use the tag.

Fungi can also pose problems for gardeners in the form of various plant and molds, and will often look like a viral or bacterial infection. Use this tag for all questions about dealing with infections.

Is this root rot?

I have this plant(dont know its exact name) and had spider mite. However after spraying it seemed ok. Today it felt somewhat soft. One of them came out without much force. Is this a root rot? What can I do? I watered it with anti-fungal.
