Slow continuous irrigation, also known as drip irrigation or trickle irrigation.
A drip-system is an irrigation system which drips water where it is required (i.e. at each plant's roots), and typically runs continuously. This system is also known as trickle irrigation, micro-irrigation, drip irrigation, or localized irrigation.
The advantages of drip irrigation is that it saves a lot of water because the water is only applied where it is needed. Also, evaporation is reduced because there is less pooling of surface water, and water is not sprayed up high.
Drip irrigation systems can also be used to apply fertilizer with the irrigation water.
